On Monday, January 19, 2026, the Institute for Rural Development and Innovation Studies (IRDIS) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) held a capacity-building training session at the Institute’s Conference Room for National Service Scheme (NSS) personnel posted to the Institute.

The training was facilitated by Dr. Albert Abraham Arhin and Snr. Nathaniel Mensah-Odum and focused on mastering the art of writing compelling research grants or commissioned proposals. The personnel gained practical techniques for navigating the proposal writing process, an initiative designed to empower personnel and drive the Institute's research and development goals.
